Serial number 46903. This Schimmel upright piano was built in Braunsweig, Germany in around 1954. They are one of the most highly considered pianos in the world, of the highest quality and very expensively made. We love a nice Schimmel but find little opportunity to purchase them.
This ebony high gloss piano has a timeless design when one considers how modern and current the casing style is. After painting and repolishing this piano to a high gloss black finish in the early 2020’s, we sold this it and have been fortunate enough to purchase it back. Yeah, we are passionate about pianos! It has been extremely well loved and kept and has not lost any of its lustre.
The tone is a beautiful mix of richness and oomph! The piano has 88 keys – with a medium firm touch weight – and 2 pedals. Its dimensions are a height of 103,5 cm, a width of 146 cm and a depth of 52 cm. Its lower height does nothing to detract from the full sound.
