Serial number: 0076788. This is a Model U131 Young Chang piano. It was manufactured in Korea.
Although not as well-known as other Eastern-manufactured pianos in the South African marketplace, one should not overlook the value of this brand. Ironically, many Young Chang pianos were imported around the 1980’s and relabelled Bernhard Steiner. This piano was not rebranded, it is proudly Young Chang! Most Young Chang pianos can easily be compared in quality to the highest quality Eastern-manufactured pianos. Their Model U131 is the deluxe version of their range.
As you can see in the photographs, its high gloss walnut casing is gorgeous! This is matched with a premier quality internal build.
