Serial number: C2124900. Manufactured in Japan, this is a Console Model Yamaha. The Console is possibly the rarest Yamaha model on the second-hand market and is certainly well sought after. This is not to be confusing with the Spinet model, which has a completely different design and is lower in height.
This is an incredibly well-kept example of the Console Model: a walnut cased beauty, in original condition with matching stool. The attention to detail on the casing is wonderful and would have made this an expensive option.
The tone is rich and rounded as is found on earlier Yamahas. It has 88 keys – with a medium to firm touch weight – and 3 pedals. The middle pedal is a practice pedal, operating a celeste-felt rail. The dimensions are a height of 147 cm, a width of 143.5 cm and a depth of 60.5 cm.
The DE 692 Yamaha Upright Pianoforte and stool is currently hired out.
