It is yet another fantastic piano we were lucky to get in. These particular models, especially in black, are incredibly sought after. The U1 is considered the “professional” model upright, long loved by teachers, students and serious pianists alike.
This earlier model has the wonderfully rich tone associated with this period of Yamahas, lacking the often-overbearing tinny loudness of more modern examples. Its condition is all original.
The piano has 88 keys – with a medium to firm touch weight – and 2 pedals. The dimensions are a height of 121 cm, a width of 150.5 cm and a depth of 63 cm.
