Serial number: H22466587. The Model U3 is Yamaha’s premier range of upright pianos. They are exceedingly rare in South Africa. This one is harmoniously tall, stylishly black and in all original condition.
The piano has 88 keys – with a medium weight touch- and 3 pedals. The middle pedal operates a Sostenuto rail in the action, to emulate one fitted to some grand pianos. This is an incredibly unusual feature on an upright and perhaps only the third or fourth one we have seen. The dimensions are a height of 128,5 cm, a width of 153,5 cm and a depth of 67,5 cm.
