Serial number 6807, built in Meisen, Germany in around 1892.
Surprisingly, the piano has an under-damper action.
It has a beautiful burr walnut case, with inlay. Judging by the sheer quality and attention to detail, this must have been offered as a special or superior edition piano. Even the action standards (view the photograph), which would likely never be seen by the owner, are in the form of lion’s heads and feet! It certainly is a refined antique piano.
