Manufactured in Germany in about 1918, it is a typical “Old German” type of piano with ivory keys and a rich and mellow tone.
It has been finished in an antique-white chalk paint which really suits the refined details in the structure of the piano. The craftmanship that went into the design of this piano should be considered: the frames in the top and bottom front panels; the flowing, etched lines on the sides at the top; the bold fretted legs with extra finishings at the bottom; and the extra detail on the top flat panel. This additional application is often overlooked and yet it adds so much value aesthetically, especially when highlighted with chalk paint as the shade varies as it contrasts with light exposure.
The piano has 85 keys – with a medium weight – and 2 pedals.
