The Eshelby Family has had an association with this piano for many decades, having sold it, serviced and tuned it, bought it back 50 years later, restored it and now offering it for sale or rental. It’s influential Family ownership means it has a great history and has been played by many top pianists and has seen and heard many tales. The last restoration included fitment of new hammers and bass strings supplied by Steinway, amongst a long list of work both internally and externally.
It has 88 keys and fortunately still retains the original ivory naturals.
It is typically Steinway in touch and tone and to elaborate wouldn’t do it justice.
