Serial number 2777. We had not seen a Reisbach piano before this one… It is of surprisingly high quality and has an amazing clarity of tone, having the ability to be very loud but also retaining the German tone quality. The piano does not sound like a small grand! Having been re-polished in the past (before we purchased it), this grand has a very clean, lighter mahogany look.
This is one of those instances where this piano would be underestimated as the brand is not a familiar one, but the overall quality is higher than most and is underpriced when compared to pianos that would offer the same value.
The piano has 88 keys – in original ivory and the touch on the lighter side of what one expects from a grand piano, very pleasant to play – and 2 pedals. This is what one considers a baby grand, being 143 cm long and 144 cm wide.
