Serial number: 10451. This is an English piano of very pleasing proportions, in a mahogany casing, which, unusually, has been hand-wax-finished. This is a very traditional method of polishing, seldom used as it takes a great deal of effort to build-up a lasting sealed shine, but when done like this, is really beautiful. It has a subtle lustre and very natural appearance.
The piano has a gentle, subdued brighter tone with a good range; 85 keys – with a medium to lighter touch – and 2 pedals. This piano’s dimensions are height of 107 cm, width of 135 cm and depth of 57 cm.
