Serial number: 6052349; 25529; 5529; 1329; 52349. This Otto Bach was manufactured in the Dietmann Factory, South Africa in the 1960’s. These earlier model Otto Bach pianos were a well-built product with high quality components and casing.
This one has the very classic Queen Anne legs and a modern re-polished (April 2022) satin black finish. These pianos compare very favourably with any imported competitors of the era and their reputation has grown considerably over the years.
The tone is crisp, but not tinny. It has 88 keys – with a medium to lighter touch – and 2 pedals.
