Serial number: 77247. This piano was manufactured in London. Kemble is one of the best all round, well-built pianos on the market. These pianos suit almost any type of use and have a very pleasing brighter tone. This Kemble was spraypainted and re-polished to a high gloss white finish in September 2020. It is elegant and beautiful!

Pianos from the same factories produced at different periods of time can vary greatly. The Kemble pianos produced at the Yamaha factories today are going to be different to those produced in the U.K.. One may overlook a fully functioning, high quality piano because of its shabby-looking appearance… and not surprisingly so!
Achieving a high gloss finish is an arduous, laborious, and frustrating undertaking where one needs to be meticulous at every point of the slow process. It can take weeks of tedious spraying and sanding, but the outcome is worth it! If done properly, the piano – which could very well be decades old but retain irreplaceable internal and structural craftmanship value – will appear as new!
