Serial number: 91038. This model 160 Grötrian Steinweg, manufactured in Braunsweig, Germany, was manufactured in 1963. The model indicates this piano being 160 cm in length. The photos are taken exactly as it came into our showrooms without any cleaning or repair. In South African terms, this is a very late model piano and of considerable rarity.
The condition is entirely original. It retains its single piece ivory clad, 88 note keyboard, in near perfect condition. We felt that it requires little more than a careful service and that the casing, although minor signs of wear can be found, is in outstanding condition overall, so the option of retouching and cleaning up of the gloss finish seems the correct route to take in keeping with the authenticity of the instrument. The original stool is still with the piano.
