Görs and Kallmann pianos have been manufactured in different factories owned by different people and this has resulted in a vast contrast in the quality of Gors and Kallmann pianos. This one is of premier quality and was produced in Berlin, Germany. This line of Gors and Kallmann is sadly undervalued by the general public as they do not recognise what they are. The value should be triple what it is.
The burr walnut casing and structure is lovely and has quite unusual aspects, perhaps influenced just slightly by the gothic, in the leg design and carving. It has a stately look in which the sentiment of “quality speaks for itself” is applicable. The piano retains its original ivory keys.
It has a beautiful rich rounded tone, 85 keys, retaining its original ivory keys and 2 pedals. The keys have a medium weight touch. The dimensions of this piano are a height of 126,5 cm, width of 147 cm and a depth of 62 cm.
The DE 681 Görs and Kallmann Upright Pianoforte with matching stool is currently hired out.
