Serial number: 76982. This piano was manufactured in the 1950’s, in Denmark. After the war, Seiler re-located from what would have been East Germany to Denmark. Ed. Seiler once proclaimed that they were the biggest piano manufacturers in East Germany and this is actually noted inside of some of the pianos. Although not as common a piano manufacturer name in South Africa, Ed. Seiler is actually one of the best quality pianos that you can get.
This model is highly attractive with its frames in the top and bottom panel as well as its dainty Queen Anne legs. Eshelby Pianos spraypainted the casing of this piano to a satin white finish in December 2018. It is absolutely beautiful, showing true class!
The piano has 85 keys and two pedals. The keys are naturals in ivory which is unusual for this model. This piano’s dimensions are height of 112 cm, width of 147 cm and depth of 62 cm.
The JAE 437 Ed. Seiler Upright Pianoforte with matching stool is currently hired out.
The photographs below show how the piano looked before we painted it.
