Serial number: 134677. This piano was manufactured in Leipzig, Germany, in 1961. This is possibly our own favourite grand piano. We love the superb quality of a Blüthner and this particular size seems just perfect to achieve a fabulous rich tone unique to the make, with beautiful proportions in casing and design. We have not had a later model in stock.
This model also has the Aliquot scaling which is a Blüthner invention whereby and extra string is applied to the treble sections, giving a rounder and amplified tone. They were built to have a gentle but rich sound and have long been a favourite accompanist’s piano. The condition is magnificently original. The ivory keyboard is superb. This is a very rare find and a world class piano. The piano was restored, spraypainted and repolished to a high gloss black finish just before being sold in June 2022.
The piano has 88 keys and two pedals. The dimensions are a length of 190 cm and a width of 150.5 cm.
The DE 941 Blüthner Grand Pianoforte and stool was sold in June 2022.

The photographs below show what the piano looked like before it was restored and painted.
