Serial number: 112918. Bernhard Steiner is not a factory-built dealership brand. Many types and makes of piano were rebranded as Bernhard and in South Africa, so the quality can vary tremendously. As Bernhard Steiner is a dealership house-brand, we usually list pianos by their factory name and mention they have been rebranded. We can almost always indicate the original factory a piano came from, but in this case, we are not certain of its origin. It would appear to be of an Eastern European descent – having aspects common to both British but also German pianos. Our guess is that it is a German piano built in the old Eastern zone.
The quality of the piano makes it suitable for a wide range of pianists from beginner to advanced. It has an elegant look with its walnut finish, classy Cabriole legs and an uncluttered casing. Aesthetically, it is rather lovely.
The tone is delightful: lively and consistent, rounded but with a pleasant crispness to it. It feels extremely playable with its medium weight touch. The piano has 88 keys and 2 pedals. Its dimensions are a height of 109 cm, a width of 143 cm and a depth of 54.5 cm.
