Serial number: 64146. This piano was manufactured in 1947, in London, and has a dark mahogany casing.
It is brawny and hefty in its edgier structure in comparison to other models – that are smoother with curved features – and thus has a masculine presence. The appearance could potentially have been a subtle show of influence from the time William Danemann associated with John Brinsmead as one can recognise the more distinguished square legs – like the DE 307 John Brinsmead – but lacking the height.
The tone is right, a bit brighter and pleasant! It has 85 keys – with a medium to heavier touch – and 2 pedals. The dimensions of this piano are a height of 118 cm, a width of 140 cm and a depth 61 cm.
The DE 277 Danemann Upright Pianoforte and stool is currently considered under restoration.

Please excuse the dusty state of the piano in the photo. It merely requires a general service and minor repair to a section of the casing. We will be attending to the piano as time allows.
