Serial number: 155109. This piano was manufactured in London in about 1927, between the years of 1925 and 1930.
Welmar is one of the best recognised English piano makes holding high repute among technicians and piano players.
Whelpdale, Maxwell and Codd (the manufacturers) initially imported Blüthner pianos from Germany to sell in the U.K. market. With the general anti-German sentiment brough about by WW1 – and with other influences and circumstances – the manufacturers started producing Welmar pianos – a make that is quite unlike other English makes!
This one has an attractive a light mahogany casing.
