Serial number: 30048. Manufactured in Japan, this Kawai was rebranded Bernhard Steiner in a time when Eastern pianos were not as well recognised.
This is a lovely, compact and modern upright repolished to high gloss black, the most popular finish on the market. Kawai is highly regarded and offers what a more serious pianist generally needs.
The piano has 88 keys – with a heavier touch, something sought by more serious players – and 3 pedals. The middle pedal operates a celeste felt rail, and is thus a practice pedal. Its dimensions are a height of 105 cm, a width of 147 cm and a depth of 94.5 cm.
The DE 642 Kawai (Re: Bernhard Steiner) Upright and stool is currently hired out.
