Serial number: 65782. This Dietmann was built in South Africa in the 1980’s. This expensive model of Dietmann came with much more detailed casework and detailing and a walnut veneer.
The tone is rich and on the mellower side. It has 88 keys – with a medium to firm touch weight – and 3 pedals. The middle pedal operates a “rinkytink”, something we have never seen in a Dietmann nor for many years on any piano. This gives the treble notes a honky-tonk, tin effect.
If it’s not useful, it is fun! The dimensions of this piano are a height of 116 cm, a width of 148 cm and a depth of 57cm.
