Serial number: 50846. Built in Germany in the 1960’s, these Fritz Kuhlas are one of our all-time favourite pianos. The quality is outstanding, and they retain the quality of pre-war German pianos, which is not usual.
This Fritz Kuhla piano has been repolished in 2026 to a satin black finish. The classic design and Queen Anne cabriole legs give it great elegance, and it would fit a traditionally furnished or modern style home equally well.
The tone is rich and typically German, being a mellower tone without any harsh or metallic overtones. The dimensions are a height of 114 cm, a width of 149 cm and a depth of 59 cm. It has 88 keys with a medium to lighter touch-weight and 2 pedals.
The DE 637 Frits Kuha upright pianoforte and stool is currently hired out.
