Serial number: 4996. This is a fully English-built Knight, whereas most Knight pianos in South Africa were assembled locally.
We do not recall having seen another of this design in a walnut casing. It is of a most unusual design – a more modern-looking Knight – and is nicely compact which suits most households.
The piano has a wonderfully rich tone unusually found in such a compact piano. It has 88 keys; with a medium, very pleasing touch; and 2 pedals. This piano’s dimensions are height of 111 cm, a width of 140.5 cm and depth of 52 cm.
The JAE 098 Knight upright pianoforte and stool is currently hired out.
