Serial number D1975519. This Model U1 Yamaha was built in Japan in the 1970’s. This is the standard of upright piano by which others are judged. Absolutely loved by musicians, serious students and teachers throughout the world. This is probably the most easily sold piano model in South Africa. In the last years, they have proven to be a good investment, even monetarily as the demand increases while stocks dwindle and less and less new Japanese pianos are imported.
We, Eshelby Pianos, just repainted and polished this Yamaha to a high gloss black finish. Otherwise, this piano is in fully original condition!
The rich, warmer tone is evidence of why these earlier Yamahas are sought in preference to more recently produced Yamaha pianos. The piano has 88 keys – with medium to heavier touch weight – and 2 pedals. Its dimensions are a height of 121 cm, a width of 150,5 cm and a depth of 62,5 cm.
