Serial number 70259. This piano was manufactured in South Africa and it is in a walnut casing of an incredibly unusual colour: it has a rather attractive, very light shade of an almost bleached yellow.
We believe this could be the cleanest condition Otto Bach we have ever bought, it is literally comparable to new and certainly is an unusual, sought after piano.
This is a true example of why one cannot rely on the brand of a piano, it was built in the Dietmann factory, has Rud. Ibach visibly cast into the steel frame and is branded Otto Bach!
The tone is lively, having a brightness, but no tinny vibrations. The piano has 88 keys – with a medium touch weight – and 3 pedals (the middle one operates the celeste rail, it is a practice pedal). The dimensions of this piano are a height of 112 cm, a width of 143.5 cm and a depth of 55.5 cm.
