Serial number: 200813. Manufactured in America in about 1920, one expects the piano to be typically hardier and – as with this piano – that is the case with the J.C. Campbell make generally. The natural patina of its original French polish walnut casing offers appealing variation in the shades of colour, suiting its bold and defined frames as well as edging details. The piano has a stately appearance: impressive and dignified without being imposing.
As with this piano, American built pianos also tend to have a brighter tone. Let’s just call it proudly American! It has 85 keys – with a medium touch – and 3 pedals (the third one operates the celeste felt rail). The dimensions are a height of 125 cm, a width of 156,5 cm and a depth of 63 cm.
