Serial number: K J3783970. This Model GB1 Yamaha Grand was manufactured in Indonesia. This is probably the newest Yamaha we have had in stock. According to the original owner, it was bought new in 2022 and, literally, has never been played, serving as a furniture piece, covered by a crocheted blanket. It certainly looks like that was the case, it as far as we can tell, the high gloss black casing shines without a mark on it and was clearly never tuned either!
The Indonesian Yamahas factory apparently sources materials from Yamaha Japan. While Japanese Yamahas carry a premier cost, these models are seeming exactly what one expects from Yamaha and have become a very firm favourite choice in grand pianos.
The piano has 88 keys – with a silky smooth action – and 3 pedals, the middle one lifting the bass damper section separately.
