This piano was manufactured in 1968. The model has beautiful cabriole legs and a traditional lyre-shaped pedal lyre. This must be one of the last Schiedmayer grands produced at the original factory as they appear to have closed by around 1970. Their quality is superb and easily compares to its highly recognised counterparts.
We bought this piano from the daughter of its original owner who imported the piano directly from Germany. With a re-polished dark walnut casing, the piano looks lovely. Internally, it is virtually as new. It would suit any professional and has a wonderful action.
The piano has 88 keys and 2 pedals. Although an obvious choice for hire or purchase, at approximately 1.8 m long, one needs enough space for this sort of grandeur.
