Serial number: 3488. This piano was manufactured with what must have been great craftmanship, talent and effort in Stuggart, Germany.
It is extraordinarily attractive! Although certainly a piece that would be appreciated and admired by anyone interested in antiques, the embellishment of details and refined aspects would be inviting to any audience. This is an exhibition of artisanship. Obvious points of interest would be the top railing encompassing a centre piece and the elaborate detailing on the legs. But there are so many other features to admire: the charming and cultured candlesticks, the fancy frames, the elegant, engraved lines… There is a certain continuity of class and calibre displayed!
The piano has a rather unusual light casing that shows lovely patina. The colour is not adequately captured by the photographs – it certainly does not have a yellow or orange base.
This piano has 85 keys, with a medium to heavier touch, and two pedals. The dimensions are a height of 131 cm, a width of 154.5 cm and a depth of 68 cm.
The JAE 108 Krauss Upright Pianoforte and stool is currently hired out.
